Two Strike Zone little guys were in Stamford for the Mighty Mite and Bantam State Championships. Lukas won his 2nd State Title with some real tough competition. Remo, who has only been wrestling for three months, took 3rd. Great job by both these little guys. They both wrestled hard and Strike Zone is proud!!!

Strike Zone wrestlers were at the Redmen Rumble today. Very tough tournament but we still managed to come away with some serious medal. Great job by all. Everyone wrestled their hearts out: Lukas - 1st; Killian - 1st; Cameron - 1st; Lucas - 2nd; James - 2nd; Zaire - 2nd; Calvin - 3rd; Raleigh - 3rd; and Remo - 3rd. Naim, Javon, Zach and Jesse didn't hit the medal round, but not for lack of trying. They had some major wars. As coaches, Greg, Jeremy and Darryl are extremely proud of the way these kids come out every week. Win or lose, they hold nothing back and go for it. For that they are all Champions!!!!
Five, out of the six wrestlers who competed today, made the medal round to qualify for the New England Championships next week. Our boys did great today. Lukas - 1st, Calvin - 2nd, Nicholas - 3rd, James - 3rd, and Lucas - 4th. Also, qualifying for the New England's from last week are Zaire, Killian and Cameron. Eight of our wrestlers will be heading to the New England Championships next week. Andover, MA here we come!!!

Strike Zone wrestlers in Southington and Colchester had a great day. Twelve kids wrestled today. We took home 6 Golds,1 Silver, 4Bronze, and 2 - 4ths. Lukas - 1st place, and Calvin - 1st in his division, also entered the middle school division, at 8 years old, and placed 1st there too. Beast!!! Cameron - 1st place, Killian - 1st place, Remo - 1st place, Joey - 2nd place, Lucas - 3rd place, Jesse - 3rd place, Javon - 3rd place in his very 1st tournament, Raleigh - 3rd place, and Zach and Dom took 4th with some real close matches battling hard. All the hard work is paying off. Our coaches and parents are proud of these young men. Thanks to Coach Greg, Coach Jeremy, and Coach Darryl for an awesome job.

Busy day for Strike Zone! While Kyle was on his way to a victory at the Golden Gloves tournament in Mass, Kirkor Papasian and Jeremy Woolfolk grappled to draws in submission-only matches against very game opponents, and Randy Francis showed his warrior heart tonight. Randy ate a tough kick to the head, got a deep cut but fought on and had his opponents back on the cage when the matched was stopped due to the cut. Thanks to Coach Darryl, Coach Marvin, Will Kerr, John Naples, Jarrid Heon and Julian Papasian for coaching- and all the teammates/family/friends for the support!!!

2018 New England Youth Championships in North Andover, MA today. Six of our wrestlers battled with the best of New England. Five fought hard. Calvin, Killian, Nicholas, Lucas and Zaire won some matches but missed the medal round. But as for Cameron today, he wrestled his butt off in a bracket of 32 kids. After having 7 matches and making the medal round he took home 6th place. Congrats Cam!!! Cam Nation running wild!!! When you have the top kids from each State in New England all under one roof there was bound to be a lot of fire works. So proud of all our kids!!!
Gold Rush today at the Husky Howl. Twelve Strike Zone kids wrestled and came away with 7 GOLDS, 2 Silvers, 1 Bronze and 2 Fourth place. Awesome day for Strike Zone's wrestlers. All the coaches and parents are so proud of the hard work they do and it shows in these competitions.

Great wrestling today from our Strike Zone kids. 10 kids - 4 Golds, 4 Bronze, and two 4th place finishes. Calvin - 1st place, Lukas - 1st place, Javon - 1st place, Lucas - 1st place, Killian - 3rd place, James - 3rd place, Cameron - 3rd place, and Zaire - 3rd place in his very 1st tournament. Zach - 4th place, and Naim in his very 1st tournament took 4th place, with some great matches loosing one in overtime. Great job by all our kids and coaches. Thanks to Coach Greg and Coach Jeremy for a great day.
While we were at States today one of our little guys, Lukas, was up in RI wrestling and won his final match in overtime to take home the Gold. Great job Lukas!!!

Killingly High School today for the State Qualifiers. Five of our boys made it to next week's State Championships. All of our kids wrestled their hearts out today. To our boys that didn't qualify for State's, we are proud as heck of the hard work you put in and the way you wrestled with no quit.
Zaire - 1st place, James - 1st place, Cameron - 2nd place, Killian - 2nd place, and Calvin - 3rd place. Great job from Joey, Jesse, Naim, and Lucas.
Five of our youth wrestlers competed in the Mid-Atlantic Championships. Calvin, Lukas, and Killian took home Gold, and Joey and Cameron took home Bronze. Lukas also wrestled yesterday up in Vermont. He took home Gold in his division and went up in age and took Bronze. A great weekend for Strike Zone. Congrats to all!!!
Our Big Boy Jeremy Woolfolk stepped in the cage for his 1st fight and pounded out a 3rd round decision against a tough opponent.

In New London today for the Whaling city Classic, where we piled up some hardware. Zaire - 1st, Killian - 1st, Lukas - 1st, Remo - 2nd, Joey - 2nd, Lucas - 2nd, Nicholas - 3rd, Jesse- 3rd, and James - 3rd. Zach and Naim had some great matches but missed the medal round. After a long weekend and two full days of wrestling and tons of hardware these kids have Monday off, then back to the grind on Tuesday. Great job Boys!!!

State Championships in New Haven today. Top six make it to the medal stand. Cameron and Zaire took 4th, Killian took 5th and James took 6th. Calvin had some real wars today and won some, lost some, and just missed the medal round. Naim, who came in as an alternate, pinned his first match before losing to much more experienced wrestlers. Great job by all. These kids work hard and give it everything they have. We couldn't be more proud of them. Thanks to Coach Greg and Coach Jeremy for all the work they put into this Team.
Six of Strike Zone's wrestlers went to The Minutemen Royal Rumble and came away with 2 Golds, 2 Silvers, 1 Bronze, and a 4th place. Almost 400 kids there today. It was a great competition. Our kids wrestled hard and did awesome. Lukas moved up a weight class and took 1st place. Joey was our other 1st place winner. Lucas and Killian placed 2nd, Jesse placed 3rd, and Zach placed 4th. Great day for all our boys!!!
