Great day of grappling today at AMMO Fight League tournament. In the Super Fight, one of the best active grappling matches, Jarrid Heon from Strike Zone and Erik Lee from Underdog Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, put on an awesome show of skill with Jarrid coming away with the win.

September 6, 2015 marks a whole year that Team Strike Zone has been open at our new location in Norwich. We would like to thank everyone for making it possible. Although we went through a lot of changes and didn't compete that much it was a fun and exciting year for our Team.
Congratulations to all the Strike Zone wrestlers that competed in the Killingly tournament on January 25, 2015, Southington Beginners on February 8, 2015, Killingly on February 22, 2015 and Second Chance States on March 8, 2015. Everyone wrestled very well and gave it their all!

Strike Zone Holds Open House
Strike Zone recently moved to its new facility in Norwich and the staff's hard work and dedication to making the center great was commemorated on September 6th at an Open House.
Darryl MarcAurele had this to say, "I wasn't sure how the turn out was going to be because we didn't do much advertising other than Facebook but I was shocked that a half hour into our open house we had to go the parking lot to direct people where to park, it was crazy but Awesome. So many people showed from so many different styles. We had Wrestlers, Boxers, Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Judo, Karate, and Cardio/Conditioning people from all different areas across CT. We had a unbelievable turn out and got to meet and sign up some pretty amazing and talented people. Keep your eye on Team Strike Zone, Good things soon to come.
And last but not least, I would like to thank all my coaches and family who ALWAYS rise to the occasion when it comes to my Strike Zone family. NONE of this would ever be able to happen without you."

AMMO Fight League
Team Strike Zone's Jarrid Heon continues to dominate the grappling scene by submitting his opponent in his Super Fight. He also won the Heavyweight No-Gi tournament against much bigger competition at AMMO Fight League's grappling tournament.
I think we found his nickname, "The Dominator".
Congratulations to Stephanie Meagher who competed in her 1st grappling tournament and won the New England Championship.
